One reason for cautious scheduling may involve the imminent launch of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto 6, scheduled for November 19th on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. With its colossal budget and massive following, Microsoft likely aims to avoid direct competition. The Halo series and Gears of War franchise are also slated for releases this year, with Halo: Campaign Evolved anticipated in July and Gears of War: E-Day set for the year's latter half, offering ample room to adjust timelines.
