Under the alias lego_minecraft_goat, the leaker detailed that the upcoming set will consist of 1,911 pieces. Included in the design will be iconic elements such as the PlayStation console and its signature controller, with the entire package likely to be priced at $160. The Instagram post was cryptic, yet intriguing, ending with the line: "I hope I will exist tomorrow." This isn't Lego's first foray into video game-inspired models. Since 2020, the company has ventured into Nintendo territory, introducing several fan-favorite sets. These range from the now-discontinued, heavyweight 2,646-piece NES model to a more streamlined 421-piece rendition of the Game Boy. Lego's collaboration with Sony isn’t entirely new either—just last year, builders had the chance to dive into the world of Horizon with a set that also coincided with the success of the Lego Horizon Adventures game available on platforms such as PS5, Switch, and PC since 2024. The announcement of a PlayStation set with a piece count slightly lower than that of the NES model sparks curiosity regarding additional elements that might be included. When it was released, the NES set came with creative extras, such as a non-functional Super Mario Bros. cartridge and a retro-style CRT TV, and retailed for a higher price of $270.
